Of course, it would have been helpful if you provided some hint as to what the issues were. Who knows, maybe that gesture would have been enough to nudge me into a collision course with Jesus (assuming that's your flavor).
The purpose of this site isn't necessarily argue people out of their religious beliefs, as much as catalog why atheists hold the positions they do (and what they are). Understanding your opponent's position is the first step towards convincing them of the error of their ways, is it not?
